I have a small workshop in Derbyshire, where I create a mix of smaller items like this as well as a few pieces of larger bespoke furniture. Regardless of size, the priority is to always maintain a consistently high quality of craftsmanship throughout.

The Oak is sourced from a small local specialist supplier who only use British trees. They are the only supplier of British Oak I have found. Most Oak in Britain is from the U.S. or sometimes from France. They tend to grow more uniform timber than we do – ideal for mass production, but I prefer the more interesting grain that comes from the less intensively managed woodlands of Britain.

They are finished with a high quality Hardwax oil designed to give a natural appearance, but making it easy to clean with a dry or damp cloth, as necessary.
