It has been our main dining table since I made it 25 years ago, although at the moment it spends more time as a desk.

The flaps pull out on a wedge mechanism which raises them up by the thickness of the table top.
The fluting on the leg of this dining table was made with an old wooden moulding plane I shaped to a suitable radius.
